These are the Arlo Pro cameras (not the first generation Arlo), they don't use CR123 batteries, they use a proprietary battery cube thing.

I basically just told them I lost the code and if it's possible to get one resend. CSR put me on hold and gave me a new one. I guess it will depend on who you will talk to. Good luck

Yes, and an outdoor mount as well. Some people have complained that the extra batter is useless the way it comes because you need to insert the battery into one of the cameras to charge it, or you can by the spare battery charger on your own dime.

Yeah, that's kinda dumb. Charger woulda only cost them a buck or two to include.

It's actually $48 on Amazon, but cheaper for Costco to include I'm assuming. It's not just the cable, it's a housing to place the battery in.

I meant it doesn't cost much to make a charger cable and housing... None of this woulda been an issue if they'd used 18650s instead of the stupid CR123s. Sure, cameras a bit biggger, but that's the only downside.

I know... Was just saying it's dumb and there wouldn't have been a need for the Pros (other than to fix the, apparently, hardware based motion to recording lag) if they'd used 18650s... No reason to make things proprietary other than design and profits.

Plus the Pros aren't even 1080p, like the Blink XTs.

Oh...yeah, proprietary sucks, especially for batteries since you're stuck paying whatever they decide to charge.

I was looking at those Blink XT cameras too, I'll need to wait on more reviews and see if their customer service gets better before investing in those. The cameras were 720p but they calimse they were working on a firmware update that would allow 1080p, not sure if that's been done already. I do like the 2 year battery life and 1080p features, not sure why they're not so popular (maybe crappy customer service, motion detection, app, etc.?).
