Just an FYI to those interested. Some people have great luck with these humidor, some don't. They don't always have the best of seals.

Here's a direct link: https://www.cigarsinternational.c...s/1490002/

A few take aways from this deal:
Some really good sticks there, especially the Bueso, CAO, Gurkha, and HC. I also enjoyed that Mark Twain a few times, very mellow.
The humidor is great for your first, but it dries up. You have to season it well and often to maintain proper humidity. I don't like the fact that it's not see through, but that's more of a personal thing.

Overall this is a good deal for people just getting into cigars. I won't get it but TU for a good beginner's package.

word of advice. these cheap humidors don't seal correctly. I can't say for all but the most of these cheap humidors don't work properly. it's better to get a plastic container with lockable lids

The humidor is rubbish, but hey it's free. I never have more than 10 sticks on me at a given time, and I've had good results with Bodeva packs and tupperware. Total cost: $5 for a portable humidor.

These humidor make nice storage cases, as humidors not so much.

these humidors suck. I've received 4, and none of them hold humidity. Fair warning.

I bought this several months ago, and the seal has been pretty good. To be honest though, as many others are saying, I've moved on beyond humidors. Tupperware with Boveda packs and a few strips of Spanish Cedar, and I can store boxes, individuals, and humidity is never a problem...in fact, sometimes it's too good in the summer, and I need to air it out with the air conditioner running to lower humidity a bit.

But I'll propose a decent use for the humidor, knowing it doesn't keep a great seal. Use it for dry boxing the cigars you plan on smoking that week. Still keep a couple Boveda's in there, but just know that the humidity is probably going to hold about 10 points lower than the pack. So throw in a 72%, and know you'll be around the mid 60's which is a great Rh anyway.

As to the cigars...there are probably 3 in there that I would smoke. The rest are in my opinion, pretty bad. You can find some phenomenal cigars for ~$5ea, and none of these are up to that standard. But at $20 all in, I still think it's worth picking up, and I did months ago, then gave away the crappier cigars from this kit.

The one warning I can offer, from personal experience - once you get a humidor and tell yourself you'll have about 20 singles and be good, the next thing you know you have about 10 boxes and 50 singles, and a wife that looks at you in disappointment. Haa haa. It's totally worth it though Stick Out Tongue

I can definitely vouch for the disapproving look from the spouse. What started out as "hey 5 cigars for $5", turned into a very expensive habit with a couple hundred in the tupperdor. Many of the sticks in this collection are top notch. As others have said, the humidor, not so much.

You guys have no idea. I started with the same deal in 2010...

When I moved in 2016, my insurance company made me inventory them for replacement value. 5600 cigars in 2 tower humidors, two 120qt coolers for box storage, and...

Yeah, well, just be careful.

Anybody else seeing the "5 for $5" coming up as $32? Tried on a bunch of computers and they all show $32!?
