I don't want anyone to face the same issue I've faced with Ashford, I'm not asking anyone to not buy from them or anything else, just make sure to check your watch very carefully before you resize it. Otherwise no matter what defect you have with your watch they won't replace it or issue you a refund, they will just repair it, I wore my watch for 10 mins only after I resize it on the same day I received it, and I reported the issue to Ashford on the same day, and I already informed them that I've resized the watch, but they told me to send it back to check it and if it is defective watch they will issue me a refund or a replacement even after I resized the watch, but after they received the watch they said they will repair it because I resized it, so they lied to me. I told them before I sent the watch to them that if you aren't going to issue me a refund I don't want to send the watch back to you, but 2 different reps told me that if it's defective watch they will issue me a refund. I don't think anyone will accept a new defective watch to be repaired rather than get a brand new watch without any defects, especially if you didn't even wear it.
It's just an advice for all Slickdealers.

Buyers be aware! Inspect your watch very carefully before you size it, Ashford won't replace it even if it's defective watch!

I'm sorry but this is on you http://www.ashford.com/us/info/returns.jsp you can't expect to size a watch and break the policy and have them accept it as new. Sorry, not everyone is Amazon that doesn't care if you send it broken. Not everyone has that scale or brand power.

I've returned to them and other dealers before but like I said, you have to follow all of the instructions and test the watch without wearing it.

Are you just posting that on every deal from Ashford? Bad experience you need to get off your chest?

I have this watch and I like it, good price to value ratio since it slightly above the invicta/nixon ratio and below entry autos like a hamilton/tissot.

I would say with any watch, especially grey market, you always need to inspect everything. I once wrote the rules, I wish I could easily paste them but it goes something like this:

check the straps/band
check the crown
check the functions, date change, etc.
if it is auto, wind it and time it for accuracy and power reserve
check the dial and movement for any noticeable particles
of course, all of this without wearing the watch! as much as you will be tempted, don't do it until the watch passes all of the tests!

I may be missing some but you get the point...

The return policy shouldn't apply on defective items, and I've already informed them that I resized the watch before I sent it to them, and they said they will issue me a refund if it's really defective watch, so basically I didn't force them to say anything, they said what they want to say, and then they changed their mind. Basically, they lied.

It's a Movado 800 series watch, the one that was on deal 2 weeks ago, one member here also mentioned

I dont know if it is my bad luck but i bought the watch, kept the watch for a week to see if anything wrong with it, notthing happened so i decided to wear it. About 2 hrs later, the second hand just stop working while the chronograph function still working. Went through Ashford customer service and they have the worst customer service i ever had. Sent the watch back to them, and got an email from them saying the watch will take about 6 to 8 weeks for REPAIR. So not recomended!!!
I think any defective item should be replaced during the first week at least and not get repaired, and I'm talking about items with manufacturer defects. It's their responsibility to check their watches at the time they buy them from their source before they sell them to the customers.

I'm just advising people to check their watches very carefully before resizing them, so they won't face the same issue I had with my defective watch.
