Excellent deal, do not miss if in the market for atmos / audio / surround speakers

These are the vanishing series with ultra thin/sheer magnetic grill, and almost no visible bezel

I cant find any difference between these and the V60 series most places carry for $100 - $199 each

Also, specs / performance on these are much better than the MC60 / MC / RC series.

These reach Much lower frequencies and better response, and at this price cost the same or less than MC60's / RC's.

The MC's / RC's do not hit very low frequencies and they dont have vanishing/sheer/bezel-less like the V / VT / RT Vanishing series

They are on par with the RTI / RT series and match perfectly with them - but cost much less.

Polk seems to be updating their line with same spec'd but higher priced newer models lately so jump on these while you can.

I missed these last time on sale and literally as i was on a ladder cutting speaker holes for MC60's and Klipsch KH6's i gave it one last chance to find better speakers on my budget and sure enough these are back on sale! UNREAL.

I put down the dremel instantly, and mc60 / klipsch templates. Ill wait for delivery of these saturday !!
Using for (4) atmos ceiling speakers to match the vt65 rears, 265-RT fronts, center, and surrounds.
I'll use the other lower end speakers i had gathered for less important distributed audio/ambient music.

You can use for fronts and rears but if its a primary media/theater room I'd prefer to use these as 2 or 4 ceiling speakers (9.1.2/9.1.2/7.1.4/7.1.2/5.1.4/5.1.2) for dolby atmos
(or for legacy dolby surround if not going atmos, and if side or rear wall placement is not an option for your room, use these overhead as sides and/or rear surrounds)

And get bigger floor standing speakers for front (floor standing towers like definitive technology BP6, or polk 265RT (dual 6.5" per speaker) in-walls, for example. Or at least a rectangular speaker (just for aesthetics if nothing else) like the polk VT65 if you can find them or the Polk 65RT.

These will be more than fine for distributed music/audio as well. Where i find decent brand name $70-$150 per pair speakers usually do fine for ambient music, but at this price, why not use these for that as well, more bang for buck and very nice aesthetically. Usually the lower priced/budget speakers do not have such nice vanishing bezels and wafer thin magnetic grills like these

To elaborate on this further, for those that don't totally understand the difference.. A two-way speaker will reproduce a low, mid and high range. A woofer is just a speaker and can technically reproduce sound at a full range of frequencies (but usually does a poor job on the higher end of spectrum).

The woofer in this case will have a high crossover point to allow it produce the range of sound from the low end up through the mid range until the tweeter takes over for the highs.

In a three-way the mid range will be handled by a more purpose built speaker. A three-way is not always better (average person can't tell the difference), and a high end two-way with a well designed crossover will blow a low end three-way away.

I just bought 10 of these, as I have a new house and need to outfit several rooms with speakers. I'm a novice, where can I go to understand if these will work as "fronts" and "rears" in a 7.1 setup?
thanks!

How about vs the larger micca m-8c if size is not a large consideration?

Not sure why this is a deal, I've purchased VT60 a few times from Best Buy in recent months, and prices were always $59.99.

If you are going to cut a hole in your wall, go with a 3 way speaker than 2 way. Normally better fidelity unless aesthetics is important

These are meant for Atmos and voice match the RTi and LSi series supposedly. I got a set of the similar model V60 from Frys havent installed yet.

Two way means it has a woofer (low range) and a tweeter (high range). The other setup mentioned was a three-way speaker that has a woofer, mid-range, and a tweeter.

I think you are talking about open box price. This usually sells for 80-90$. They are on sale for 60$ dew times a year.

Very easy. The plastic brackets are very sturdy. Make sure to use template for right size of hole. The magnetic grill holds very well.
