I am indeed. There are no promos present anywhere on the product page, as described in OP.

It does work if you change it to the right seller but the whole product seems sketchy as heck:

"2. Create a Xiao Mi Account and login, and then change server location to Singapore
3. Make sure you have connected to Singapore service and if not please reset the APP."

I believe these step are only necessary to integrate with amazon echo. With the yeelight app it's straight forward.

So, if you want to allow internet connectivity (aka away from home or third party access), you need a server to relay that information through. Every smart bulb does this.
This looks confusing/ sketchy because yeelight apparently has to have a server system set up in China for Chinese use. Otherwise, everyone else is in Singapore. This is not really different from other apps, they are just up front about where their servers are.

And for what it is worth, it took all of 3 minutes to get my first bulb set-up, including account creation and pairing.
This is hands down one of the easiest, better bulbs I have used to date, and I've had about 5 different companies bulbs.
