Nutritional Info:
  • 340 calories
  • 10g total fat (8g saturated)
  • 43g carbohydrate (23g sugars)
  • 20g protein
  • <1g fiber
  • 20% RDA calcium

Note: This is not a particularly healthy nutritional choice. There are other products available which provide a better balance of protein, sugars, saturated fats, and fiber. And if you are on a low-carb diet, then this is not for you. Please refrain from commenting on it's FAIL on the nutritional front. It is what it is.

And what it is (in this author's opinion) is one of the best tasting protein bars on the market. Better tasting than either Balance or Quest bars. Feel free to comment on whether you think this is a good price for this product and to offer up alternative choices.

These are absolutely delicious, but the macros are garbage. Syntha 9 protein crisps taste a little less sweet, have better macros, but are never on sale.

Thats a lot of calories for a protein bar compared to the 200 calories of the quest bars

This has just a little less sugar in it than a Snickers bar!

Way too many calories and poor macros as mentioned by others. Sure they taste good, but man it's a big price to pay.

forget the nutritional arguments, a dollar per bar is terrible for any protein deal

It's actually a great deal, I see them 3 for $5 at Publix on sale. They are really good, however, like others have said they are practically candy.

Thank you!

You, sir, understand that I didn't post this as a health food. It was posted for people who have already tried (or are willing to try) this product and are satisfied with a great tasting snack bar NOT A HEALTHY PROTEIN BAR.

I think you meant Syntha-6. [LINK]

And I agree that the Syntha-6 is another great tasting bar. (And there are critics that the Syntha-6 bar's nutritional content isn't so great.)

Seems like you have to choose between good taste and good health.

P.S. I suppose that I should give credit to the naysayers for changing my lunch habits a bit.

Instead of consuming a whole Gatorade Recover bar for my noon-day meal, I've cut it up into three pieces and eat a third of a bar along with a Quest or Balance bar. I've got a ton of Quest and Balance bars that I purchased on sale and only a relatively small cache of Gatorade bars, so this kills several birds with one stone:
- It extends my supply of Gatorade bars.
- It takes advantage of my stores of Quest and Balance bars.
- It's slightly more nutritious.
- What it lacks in the taste/texture departments, it makes up for in variety. (Two different types of bars daily makes for a more interesting experience.)
- It stays within my diet limits of 300~350 calories for lunch.
