Normally I see the ads for $100 or $150 with $10k deposit. Got a paper ads for this one awhile ago, but they just recently make it available online (i.e. to everyone)

Here is the link: https://accounts.chase.com/bankin...?ID=060917

Summary: Open Chase Saving with $15k (funded within 10 business days). Keep the fund there for 90 days (after that you can pull it out, must maintain 300 to waive the fee I believe), and keep the account for 6 months (from the day you open the account).

Note: bonus not available for existing Chase saving customers.

Last year I held out and they ended up sending a $300 offer, I believe the requirement was $15k.

Chase Savings is not the same as premier checking. You posted a different deal.

Of course it's not the same, it's a better deal. To the same $15,000 you want to get $200 or $300 is your choice.

Extra hoop to jump through as well. May or may not be a deal breaker for some:

" AND 3) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 60 days of account opening."

Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers, those with fiduciary accounts, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance. To receive the bonus: 1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval; 2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money within 10 business days of account opening; AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the date of deposit. The new money cannot be funds held by Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 10 business days. For a Chase SavingsSM account, the Annual Percentage Yield (APY), for all balances is effective as of 05/09/2017 and may change at Chase's discretion. The APY is 0.01% for all balances in all states. Interest rates are variable and subject to change. Additionally, fees may reduce earnings on the account. You can only receive one new savings account-related bonus per calendar year and only one bonus per account. The bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.

Account Closing: If the savings account is closed by the customer or Chase within six months after opening, we will deduct the bonus amount at closing.

So all you really get is the bonus since their stated APY is not even worth mentioning.

Correct. After the 3 months period definitely pull the 15k out and put it to some other place.
