For those bashing on the Made in China comment, the company commonly has items of the same line Made in Japan or China. It is perceived that the Japan versions are higher in workmanship and quality. No one is bashing that we shouldn't buy things from China, this is a point of product differentiation within the same product and company.

I have this, and like it. Many of the bad Amazon reviews talk about the filter basket overflowing. After experimenting, I suspect the culprit may be using a very fine coffee grind. Using a medium grind has worked just fine for me, but if you buy or use an espresso grind, it may not be the best choice.

"Made in China" is relevant for this brand, as they have two product lines, made in different places. Their "Made in China" rice cookers are significantly worse and usually advised against.

The thermal carafe easily keeps the coffee warm enough for us for a couple of hours.

Awesome coffee maker at the best price I've ever seen by far for new. I have had this one for about a year and love the design overall. Had 2 of the previous model for years. Zoji products can't be beat from my experience.
