Beware they have the worst system for returns. If you use $100 in gift cards and, say, $200 in cash, then return a $75 item, they will give you the refund as a gift card. Makes no sense but I've spent hours on the phone with them trying to figure this stuff out.

Not only that, if you buy something with ANY form of payment including cash and return it EVEN WITH THE RECEIPT you have to show your id which they enter into their system.

I only purchase onesies and washcloths which I use for crafts on sale at TRU or BRU due to this policy.

My daughter had a receipt for something purchased on her baby registry which they admitted was purchased from there with that very receipt and she had to show her ID. This baby she didn't use BRU as a registry and her friends won't either.

I forgot my gc when I needed to purchase something once and told them right then and there that I would purchase the item with cash and then come back later with the gc and repurchase it and return it with the cash receipt. They said, "oh good idea".

I did just that (same cashier both times and she remembered me) later in the day, walked over to customer service to return it with the cash receipt and got into a tiff over showing my id. The cashier even backed up my story AND both receipts had my reward number on them.

That was it for me................ I ONLY purchase items that will NEVER EVER even have a remote possibility of being returned.

How bad is your picture on your ID? Why such a problem showing your ID to return the item?

It goes into a NATIONAL tracking data base that is used by other companies. If you get to x returns in a certain period stores will refuse your returns.

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/...-returner/

Why would I want to add my id to that data base? I might need to return stuff later for legitimate reasons.

Besides THAT I've had my id stolen in the past and it is a MAJOR hassle to get stuff off your credit report.

So u have no problem handing over YOUR id to return something you have the receipt for, paid for in cash that has your rewards number right on it and a cashier who says yeah, she told me this morning she would return it so she could get it with her gift card, go ahead. I'd rather not.
