My local Popeyes in the South Chicago land suburb area has a July 4th Special for $10. Original price appears to be 24.99 on the receipt. The meal includes:

11 piece chicken or tenders
2 Large Sides
6 Biscuits

I am not sure if any other Popeyes are doing this.

9.75% sales tax on food is brutal.

my state only charges 1.75% if it's prepared food (i.e. fast food, Chinese take-out, Domino's, etc)

Those taxes will get worse with IL Senate passing budget plan to include $5B in new taxes and $7B in borrowing!! That place is a financial mess. Not hating just stating....BTW . I grew up and went to college in Chicago.

How do you check to see if your stores are participating? Can you check their website? Was it just an in-store flyer or something? Be great if the stores here in KC were doing it. Would be a great way for the fam to eat on the cheap.

If you go to popeyes web site, there's a 'coupon' section and a 'deals' section which will show you what deals and coupons each location has.

Mine isn't doing the deal.

I'm a chicken tender eater instead of the fried skin chicken. But every time I've gone here, they've been thin as heck, tiny bits and mostly gristle. $10 for tenders would definitely be better at Raising Cane's. If I can find a location that does have Mac n Cheese, I'll probably check out this deal. Don't care for the super dry and thick biscuits either...
