Have this for about a year, only used a few times for a few minutes due to having so many power tools but they are light, solid, compact, and well worth it with the hard case which i like alot.

Good price on these high quality great little tools. Not as powerful as the big boys, but most jobs don't require mega power and these are so small and light that they are always the first ones that I'll grab unless I know that the task will be especially demanding.

From Google it seems the cxt tools will take lxt batteries. Do you have experience of them not fitting?

These are great. I've had the 10.8 set for years and love it, probably will finally upgrade with this deal. Tu!

I too had the 10.8 set for years, loved that panel saw and these tools. However when I decided to upgrade went with the Milwaukee M12. More variety in tools, brushless options, and those free battery deals lately have been sweet.

Had my set for more than 6 years. Going strong even today on the same batteries. Cannot recommend this set enough.

These probably aren't as powerful as the Milwaukee M12s that people are comparing them to, but they are much more compact - which for me is the whole point behind getting 12-volt tools since I already had big and powerful 18v ones for the times when I need more oomph.

Yeah the M12 2494-22 kit that has been $99 at Home Depot regularly is definitely a bit more powerful, and *slightly* larger, but they are still quite small and comfortable as long as you're using a 3Ah battery or smaller. The Milwaukee impact is capable of 1000in/lbs of torque, while the Makita is only 800in/lbs.

The Milwaukee M12 product line is also pretty massive, so you can easily expand it with all sorts of tools including specialty tools. But for just something to use around the home, either kit is great. The Makita is a bit smaller, though, and the hard case is nice.

I got one of the Makita kits for my grandfather last year and he uses those more than anything now. And I've had a Milwaukee M18 set for about 4 years now, with massive amounts of use and I haven't even had to replace the batteries. I picked up the M12 kit for myself about 6 months ago and love it. I've been carrying those a lot more than the M18 now, unless I need extra power. And with a few 3Ah batteries it lasts a long time and the 6Ah battery pack which makes it less compact will run forever.

All in all you can't go wrong with either the Milwaukee or Makita kits.

It's been this price for a couple of weeks that I know of... I've just had them sitting in my cart waiting on a price drop. I thought this was the everyday price is it not? At work and can't reach camel if anyone can check it I'd like to know.
