The lowest for this on Amazon was $24.79 according to CCC, so pretty close.

I recently installed this and I found it to be only around 50% effective when used with Alexa. Half the time when I asked Alexa to turn on/off the lights, it'll spin and she'll say "TP Link is not responding." Through Kasa (the TP Link app) it always worked though. Not sure what the issue was, TP Link support was no help.

I have owned these for about 8 months now, the AWS service connecting kasa to Alexa does go down at times, but it has only happened twice in the duration (probably around 4 hours on each occasion) that I have tested it. They generally restore it soon, but it is a little inconvenient when it happens. The current status is shown on their website,
http://www.tp-link.com/us/support/status

All in all, very reliable and it fulfills my requirement of not wanting another hub. As long as you have a neutral wire in the switch box, it's definitely recommended.

I wish mine was traceable to an identified outage like what happened in June and March, as those are what kept coming up when I was google troubleshooting - but mine was completely random as to when and how it worked with Alexa. Again, Kasa always worked for me, it was the Alexa integration which left a lot to be desired. Both TP Link and Amazon Echo support were no help.
