I saw this laptop in-store on Sunday. My friend knew nothing about computers but wanted a quiet HDD and spend less than 700 bucks. She liked this one and a Dell and we decided the HP was best suited for her. The only thing I dislike about this laptop is the small SSD size but for her work she doesn't need much space. One of the things I like about this laptop over the Inspiron I recently got that it has a nice aluminum chassis compared to the plastic the Inspiron uses. I have to say HP has upped their game on laptops in the past decade on their laptops. My first laptop was a Pavillion back in 2004 and it didn't last long.

OP, nice find. Just add that the display supports Windows ink. So you can buy any Wacom AES Active pen and use it with this device.

Thanks Suryasis! You've inspired me to post deals! Just realized today when I traded in my laptop to Best Buy it was a Pavillion I bought in 2006.

Thanks and great to know that. What i meant to say is that edit the original post and add that 1080P Display /w Active Pen Support. Lots of people are interested on these kind of 2-in-1 Laptops because they want to use for note taking and content creating using the pen. So adding that in the description will help them to decide.

Now HP,Dell and Asus, all are upgrading their budget offerings like Inspiron, pavilion series 2-in-1 laptops with Active Pen support. Previously it was reserved for their premium levels.
