Thank you JEST79. This is just what I was looking for at 50% off from a reputable seller. I would have never thought to look at verizon. Reviews are great and lots of Q&A on Amazon.com [amazon.com].

I have one for a 12.9" I'd sell. It's brand new

Nice deal on this case and if I needed a new case right now, I'd jump. I think I'll wait for the new "Slim Combo" from Logitech - maybe we'll see some deals on that come Black Friday, maybe (assuming it is released by then).

I saw this about 2 weeks ago when I was buying a used 9.7" pro. But there seems to be a HUGE amount of people complaining that the frame that holds in the iPad keeps breaking in the same place. Ultimately made me decide on the apple keyboard, even if it's features are lacking a bit.

That was me two months ago.

Then I started reading about users screens being scratched by the Logitech along with the "tiny clip" frame breaking. Even with that, I still liked the keyboard itself due to feel, backlight, and function keys. Then I tried it for myself and found it to feel clumsy and awkward to use as a tablet with the case on. Taking it off and putting it on multiple times per day...was less than fun. Even just using it with the keyboard on a desk looked funny and felt...off.

Found the Apple Smart Keyboard for $100 on eBay. MUCH thinner profile, extremely easy to attach/detach, believe it or not, I prefer it in the lap too. The actual keyboard typing experience has been great and it matches the silicon case very well...also on eBay for $40...iirc, Verizon as well. The keys can take some time to adjust too, but after a long time with both, prefer the ask over the Logitech here too.

The silicon case/ask may be the pricier option, but it's a more flexible option.

I would at least order both (walmart had 90 day return policy) and try them both out in your home/on the go.

I wanted to like the Logitech, I really did. But it defeats the purpose of an iPad IMO.

I believe the CREATE version have an issue where it can scratch the screen due to the keyboard touching the screen when the case is closed. The new Logitech Slim Combo have a dented soft rubber that prevent the above. YMMV...

Is the slim combo coming out for the 9.7" Ipad also? Everything I see says it's only for the new 10.5" Ipad.

I don't know, but then again, the Slim Combo is quite new. Hopefully Logitech will create one for the 9.7

I have this exact keyboard and love the backlit keys. I haven't noticed any scratching on my screen though. I believe the scratching keyboard problem was more prevalent in the bigger sized ipad pro while the 9.7 inch model came out a little later and probably fixed the issue. I could be wrong but just my 2 cents.

Best Buy agreed to price match, but I did it online through chat and picked up in store.
