Just stay home. And no law? Try doing something illegal in Bangkok and let's see what happens?!

Yep. Spent several weeks in Chiang Mai and then went down to Samui. Beautiful country and wonderful people. (and amazing food!)

Nice prices to Bangkok. Go later in the travel window (November/December) and you'll even miss most of the monsoon season.

Seems a great price. Just wish I knew what my job situation and vacation days would look like by then. Seems it could be cheap to get round trip flight to other Asian countries from there too, although idk how messy it would be if the flight is cancelled or something

Unreal, I went to Thailand and flew Air France in December of 2015 and round trip flights from JFK with a short layover in Paris were around $2,000. Stayed there for three weeks. Wild.
