I bought this at their intro 50% off offer. Even at only 20% of their meal, all my dogs have become quite odiforously flatulent and their stools are loose. I am no longer feeding this.

Btw the intro thread has many more of these reports. I am on my phone so I can't link it

Just FYI, chewy would not disclose who makes their food.

I'm on the phone with Chewy right now because the website is so slow and getting my order in. On the bags that say LIMITED they say that those are the ones with less ingredients and much better for dogs with allergies. My 2 Golden's love this food. Just found out the limit is 3 on American Journey ITEMS. Bummer.

Where is this American Journey brand?
Here is the Dog Food Advisor page for American Journey [dogfoodadvisor.com] (it has a 5 star rating.) I was not familiar with the brand until the sale in May but after doing some research, I transitioned my dogs and have been feeding them the grain free lamb for the last month. It has worked out well, signs of allergies actually seem better than with their usual Taste of the Wild High Prairie, and no side effects that I've noticed.

I think it's pretty great food so I ordered 6 bags for about $100 (which is roughly the weight equivalent of five 30 pound TOTW bags which would cost at least double). I'm considering getting 6 more bags on my wife's account since this is one of the best dog food deals I've ever found.

It's worth noting the grain-free variants use sweet potatoes and come in 24 pound bags for $40, while the non-grain free variants use brown rice and come in 28 pound bags for $40, making the price per pound $1.67 for grain-free or $1.25 for brown rice (before subscription discount). I noticed the ingredients for lamb and sweet potato compared to lamb and rice is slightly different in other ways though, the first ingredient in both is de-boned lamb which is great, but chicken meal and turkey meal as the 2nd and 3rd ingredients in the brown rice formula, instead of just lamb meal in the grain-free. I'm not sure about other flavors but this could be of concern if you're trying to avoid certain meats.

I am trying the 24# American Journey Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Salmon & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food, which has no chicken meal, since my dog is allergic to chicken.
2 bags autoship = $38.24

It's to ride out until I can find another Orijen 6 fish grain-free deal, which we are running low on.

Thanks.

Purchased 2 bags at $16.79. It was 79.98 - 35.99 (bogo) - 15 (15 off 50 coupon i got off ebay) - 4.20 (autoship) - 8 (1st autoship). Nice that the 15 off 50 works even with other promotions applied. No tax and free 2 day ship.

I bought this food in the past when they were doing 50% off your first bag. My dog has tried both the regular and the grain-free versions. My dog usually eats Blue, Wellness, etc. but he hasn't had any issues with this. I like the protein content and that it comes with some chondroitin and glucosamine. My only complaint is the food pellets are on the small size especially if you have a large breed.
