Arlo Pro 2 Camera w/ Base -$319.99 @ Frys on July 4th (with email promo code)

Received my Frys email today and there's a special section for July 4th only sales.

Arlo Pro 2-camera bundle with base is available for 419 less 83.37 instant savings less 16.63 promo code discount.

The ad also says Frys will "pay the sales tax on most HD security systems with Promo Code"

That's an out the door price of $319.99. That's about $16 less than the price I paid on the Amazon deal about 10 days ago. If you include no tax that's more like $47 less than I paid.

Time to see if Amazon will price match. 🤔

UPDATE: Just got back from Frys. The Arlo Pros are NOT part of their no sales tax promo unfortunately. Big YMMV but I spent about 5 mins showing the manager that their ad was misleading and she gave in and sold it to me for right around $319.99 after tax (she did a manual adjustment to sell them for about $290 + 27 in tax where I am).

To get the no sales tax discount: The Frys ad shows a green banner above the Arlo Pro bundle saying Frys will pay sales tax on "most" HD security systems. There are no other HD security systems shown anywhere near the Arlo Pro bundle in the ad so I assumed that meant no sales tax on the Arlo Pros. When I was told it did not at checkout, I showed them the ad and politely told the cashier, then the manager, that I was frustrated by what appeared to be a misleading ad. Why have that banner above something that it specifically does not apply to? The manager said I should look for an ad that says no tax on it, and I told her the green banner above the Arlo Pros appeared to say just that. She initially offered half off, but I politely continued to point out that I felt misled. She quickly adjusted the price and away I went with the Arlo Pros. If you're going to try this, please be polite. The cashier and/or manager didn't make the ad and they are trying to balance good customer service with fiscal responsibility.

Good luck to anyone else who tries this deal. No sales tax is YMMV. $319.99 before tax still a good deal though.

Not sure why this deal isn't getting much love. The last 2 camera deal was $20 more and most people would need to pay tax.

No luck on Amazon price matching. But I can return the ones I just bought there.

Why? Because Fry's is a big PITA to deal with... they continue to play games like this with us with purposefully misleading / false and illegal advertisements and changing what they promised once we try to check out.

Better to get the $450 for 3 camera bundle at Costco if you're a member or know a member.

I have been looking, every day, for a good deal on the 2 camera kit. I have never, EVER, seen a 2 camera Arlo Pro deal with the base unit for anything close to $240. I have seen the package of 2 'non pro' cameras and the matching base unit - but there are serious differences between them.

I am not trying to poke the bear and start trouble; I with I was wrong, and I could find that kit for $240. I would buy it in no time flat.

That was Walmart deal that needed price match and pickup discount. Many SDers got the set at that price including myself. We were truly lucky.
