It's going to be on-par with the iFixit set, which is a medium grade driver/bit set. Except with this Kobalt set, you aren't paying a premium price for mediocre tools. You are getting your money's worth with the Kobalt.

I had an iFixit set a few years ago. The bit tips were weak and my iPhone pentalobe bit rounded out in 2 months. I was a little irritated because I bought the "Pro Tech Toolkit" for $67 thinking it would have quality tools, but I was left disappointed.

I've since moved to Wiha drivers for repairs and the difference in quality is quite evident. When you pull out your first screw with a Wiha, the screw is kinda hard to pull off the tip because of how precise and excellent the tip is made. I was literally so astounded by it that I was showing it to my wife like it was a farking magic trick or something (lol). Of course you pay a little more... Well, I guess you pay about the same as the iFixit kit, but you are actually getting top-quality tools with Wiha stuff.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this Kobalt kit is actually better than the iFixit kit, since the iFixit kit left the bar pretty low.

iFixit tools are absolutely *not* superior. The iFixit stuff is over-priced mediocrity with a lot of hype because of the excellent repair guides they offer. You can literally find the same exact iFixit kits re-branded all over Amazon for much lower prices.

Can't say how it compares but I have this set and it comes in handy for smart phone repairs and the like. Has pretty much any bit you could possibly need. I bought it because I needed a security torx bit for a PS4 repair, but have used it numerous times since

I'm so glad we are finally getting a Lowes where we live (Westchester County, NY). Previously we had to go across the across to get to Lowes and HD had no competition!

I used this exact kit to successfully repair my phone, the screwdriver bits are decent quality.

In for one, thanks. Will be a good upgrade to the $5 Chinese set I've been using.

For what it's worth, I've done a LOT of phone repairs, and couldn't find a Kobalt set when I needed a pentalobe for the iphone. I have another precision set of screwdrivers from Kobalt, and they are fantastic. For $15, you probably can't go wrong with this set (although it's got a fairly bulky case with a lot of wasted space for a small tool set).

That said, I bought this Tekton set from Amazon for $20, and I absolutely love it. It's well organized, compact, and the case sturdy.

Love the kit actually have 3 now. Great price, been very useful and kicking out some of the bits, can give you room for security bits, there is room to clamp more in.

Seems like a nice set for $15. I'm not that familiar with Lowe's prices. It claims that this is a "new lower price" and doesn't use the word sale. Does that mean that this is just the standard price going forward?
