Lowes Gift Card Deal

I need to purchase Lowes Gift Card. The best offer I see is 4% off in Cardpool. Have you seen any other best deals?

You can find people on Craigslist or offerup that will sell @ 50-70%. I've never had trouble, always met in the store parking lot, some can be shady

You are better off getting 10% off or 15 off 50 coupons and using those than trying to save the gift card route imo. They can be had at Ebay and other places fairly inexpensively.

With internet portal discounts and credit card discounts when buying online or using a CC when they have a 5% promo in play, I think that the gift cards would be a wash at best. If you want to risk Craigslist dealing with strangers then maybe, but I would not bother.

You will still get shopping portal cashback when paying with a GC. The 5% you can pickup with a rotating 5% CC promo doesn't compare to the 10-20% off that you can get buying Lowe's GCs from retail merchants (I usually wait for the 20%). Comparing 5% vs 20% when buying a big ticket item (say a $1K appliance) leaves $150 on the table. You do give up the CC extended warranty, but I would personally make the trade for the additional savings, especially since more often than not CC providers find a way to disqualify extended warranty claims. As for Craigslist, I'm iffy on that proposition as I would be concerned that someone would drain the GCs the moment they had my cash in hand.

I have not seen the 20% discounts from retailers. Occasionally maybe with a super market promo they might give you $10 off 100, but those are few and far between around here at least. Most places online will not sell something like a Lowes gift card for more than 3-5% off. If you can swing that great, but it is not like you can usually wait weeks to get a new refrig or washer if one breaks.

The 20% off offers are only available 3-4x per year, but they're out there. Acme/Albertons/Safeway has done them for 20% off several times in the last couple years. Shoprite has featured them several times as part of their spend $100, get $20 promo, which comes to about 17% off. You can also get them for 20% off via the annual AmEx deal, which is $10 back on $50. Amazon also did them for 20% off this past winter. And PayPal Digital Gifts had them for 20% off just last month.

10% off, on the other hand, is readily available. i searched SD and found 8 such deals just in the last 60 days. Generally, you'll only have to wait several weeks for one of these deals.

Same argument holds for CC CB. If your fridge breaks today it's not like you can wait until next year when the home improvement category rolls around again. You can, however, buy GCs at a discount in advance and be ready if something comes up. However, if you do have something urgent come up and you don't have any GCs, you can buy them at 5% off with one of various CCs by simply buying them at a merchant that has 5% off in a given category. Anyway, do as you please; I'm just sharing information.

Are these grocery store promo's really quantity limited? I would like to collect $30,000+ in Lowes. I think 10% off is about the minimum I want to deal with collecting cards and sitting on them until I can spend. Obviously the more discount the better.

Just wondering if there are any creative ways to get them. Which retailers allow you to buy other gift cards? For example I believe Target sells Lowes gift cards. Although that doesn't help that much because there are not many opportunities to get cheap Target cards either.

So any exchange methods or more advanced methods to get cards in bulk at a smaller discount? I don't know about other people but 4-6% discounts just don't cut it.
