Not too bad, but I would go with one with a 1050 ti or a 1060 at this price if you're more focused on gaming. This one comes with a faster i7 processor and a bigger 512gb NVMe drive, which a number of laptops in this range don't, but the graphics card could be a step up from what it is. That being said, a 1050 will play most games at decent and playable settings.

This is more of a powerful laptop which can also be used for gaming than a "gaming laptop." I say this because the specs are fantastic, fast read/write on the SSD, i7, and lots of DDR4 ram; but the 1050 won't get you high fps on ultra graphics.

There have been some but they usually have a 1TB HDD and so you end up paying over 1k to get a SSD... Patience is a virtue. If this thing had a 1060 it would be front page with 100+ upvotes

Is it just me or does this seem like a lot to sacrifice compared to the acer helios?

Got a brochure from Dell in the mail today, mentioning "Black Friday in July" starting July 11th. I'm waiting for next week, missed the last deal on the Dell 7567 for $784 last week (1050Ti, IPS, 256SSD).
