Been using this with Comcast for almost a year now and it's had no downtime. Activation was easily done online. Get around 180Mbps download speeds.

Not bad, but I would strongly encourage people to try looking in their local thrift stores. I have never paid more than $6 for a cable/dsl modem. And even that $6 was only because that one was "like new" in box. Otherwise, I only paid $3 or so for the others. People just ditch this stuff when they move.

I had this for over 3 years now and still working rock solid. Bought it brand new at the time. I am getting over 100mbps easily without any issues. Great buy if you need it.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see the channel bonding specs anywhere, not even on the Linksys product page:

http://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-DPC3008/

I found the channel specs 8x4 however I don't see it on the Comcast supported list. Looks like a very old modem.

I've used this modem on comcast and comcast business. Bought it refurbed from linksys and didn't have a problem. I got the max down and up speed of 50 mbps and 10 mbps respectively. Don't know of it is still supported.

Just confirmed with Comcast... this modem is no longer supported by them which means no more firmware updates and nearing EOL with them. Great for a short term solution as long as you know once its EOL they may brick your modem forcing you to buy another new one. Nothing is guaranteed, however they did this to me 3 years ago when they EOLed my previous modem.

I just went from this to a 16x4. There is a difference.

mine died or the power supply did.

good deal if you still have docsis 2.0 but honestly id recommend saving for a better one.
