Dug around for a while and actually found some decent discounts on smartphones with the current 20% off sale. I've added a few of these links to the AWD sale thread, but quickly noticed they were going to get lost in the pages of comments. Anyway, hope this helps someone.

ZTE Axon 7 64GB (Gold) [amazon.com] - Starting at $250.85

LG V20, Factory Unlocked (Titan Grey) [amazon.com] - Starting at $282.58

Huawei Honor 6X 32GB (Gray Or Silver) [amazon.com] - Starting at $155.72

ASUS Zenfone Zoom 64GB (White) [amazon.com] - Starting At $135.97

Listed prices are after discount. Must be a Prime member and logged into your account to see the sale price at checkout.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I deleted the previous wiki.

That is not what the wiki is for. [Personal experiences] with a product should be left in comments. This comment spoke of "image retention" aka burned image onto screen. These are IPS screens, not CRT. The ZTE, which is AMOLED can eventually have burn-in on the screen, but is only common if it's on 247 like a store model.

I will delete this wiki post within 24 hours to reduce clutter

Some things to note from an Axon 7 owner. Both the Axon 7 and V20 have HiFi DACs. The ZTE software (MiFavor UI) is mostly junk and Axon 7 owners were begging ZTE to provide a stock, or at least closer to stock, Android UI when the Android 7 update was being developed. However, the Axon has received many timely updates from ZTE, so support has been good, and Android launchers, like Nova, work beautifully on it. The bootloader is also easily unlockable directly from ZTE and I've heard nothing but great things about performance on ROMs like Lineage. Finally, battery life on my Axon is fantastic, but the camera is very disappointing.

The major features I'd be comparing between these two are -

Support and warranty coverage: ZTE wins, 2-year warranty when new, reg updates

Display size: 5.7" would be nice, but I personally find the V20 to be unwieldy

Camera: V20 will crush the Axon

Speaker quality: The Axon 7 wins, but it's not something I care too much about. If I had to choose between the two, I'd rather just have a single exceptionally loud and clear speaker than stereo speakers. The Axon's speakers are definitely a selling point, but just not one particularly important to me.

Battery life: The Axon's is excellent. I can't comment on the V20's although I know having the V20's replaceable battery sure would be nice.

Build: The Axon's build is top-notch and it's very comfortable to hold. I can't imagine the V20 could possibly be better.

Software: As I mentioned, I'm really not a fan of ZTE's UI but there are plenty of ways to get around it. On the other hand, I've never had any serious complaints or issues with LG's software on my previous LG phones. Also, if your interested in ROMs at all, go with ZTE. LG has a very poor track record of keeping bootloaders locked.

Lastly, defective hardware: LG's smartphones have been plagued by bootloop issues for years now. Reports don't seem to indicate this has been extended to the V20. Just something to keep in mind. The most common issues I've seen regarding the Axon are defective cameras that will no longer focus properly. That said, overall hardware issues seem to be low for the Axon.

EDIT: Almost forgot, the Axon supports dual SIMs, the V20 does not.

Hope this covers most of the bases.

The original warranty may actually still be partially available. Depends on the manufacturer and, obviously, when it was purchased. Just a suggestion, but you could always buy and then check to see if any warranty is remaining once it arrives. If it there isn't any coverage left or it's non-transferable, submit a return. Should it come to that, at least you have 30-days to try the phone and see if fits your needs in preparation for when the next deal comes around.

Almost pulled the trigger on this, but wary of buying a phone without manufacturer's warranty.

$332.01 for the Axon 7 "like new". I was hoping to see the price drop lower on these. I'll hold off until there's a more substantial price drop. As a side note, AW is hit and miss on accurately listing the condition, but returns are easy.

*** Edit to update that yes, the discount is seen when you get to checkout. Total is $300.09 w/tax for me. Still too much for used, with unknown warranty coverage. I'm curious if anyone has experience with ground through ZTE for warranty coverage when purchased from AWD?

Is the LG V20 worth getting for $282 plus tax? The condition is used - like new. A brand new LG V20 goes on sale on ebay for $360 no tax.

The like new condition for a V20 is $299 (after the discounts applied) plus tax comes out to be $323 in TX. My question is how accurately is the "like new" condition described with these phones. I know its mostly YMMV but whats the general word about the AWDs? I have never bought anything from AWD and was curious.

My second question is which phone is better? V20 or ZTE A7?
