DYMO LabelWriter 4XL Thermal Label Printer - $139.99 FS - Amazon

DYMO LabelWriter 4XL Thermal Label Printer is $140 with free shipping at Amazon currently. It's been cheaper previously, but you have to go back 2 years for a cheaper price than this. This version label printer is rarely discounted and it's been a long time since it's been down this low. Decent deal for those waiting on it to get discounted like I have been for several months.

EDIT: Awwww yeah, dropped down to $139.99 for all the rest of you holding out! Make it rain with those extra savings!

Reading a lot of negative comments on this machine; you never know if half the amazon.com reviewers are idiots that don't know what they are doing, or if these things have problems.

I've had this printer before and it require Dymo labels or ones with little holes in between each label, which UPS rolls do not have

But it would fit a roll ~ 5" in diameter inside the cover

Not a bad price, but I would just go with a used Zebra instead.

I've had this printer about 6 months and have had no issues with it. I use it primarily to print eBay labels which is the reason I bought it! No more printing on a laser printer cutting and taping. Professional looking and fast. Also, no ink to buy as it is a thermal printer!

I've had my label maker for over a year now and have had no problems with it at all.
I do use the DYMO OEM labels for it, but that's only because I purchased a 220 count roll at the time of purchase because I wanted to make sure it worked with it.
I don't do a lot of shipping, maybe 4 boxes a week is all.

It sure saves on printer ink or standing in line at the PO and paying extra for tracking.

I haven't tried buying the generic roll, so I can't help you out on their quality or if it's equal, etc. because I only need 1 roll a year. laugh out loud

The machine is fine. The software is probably the worse designed piece of s*** ever created.

I agree, I use the Mac version, but I still haven't figured out how to take an address from contacts and just import it to the label maker software to print a label.

It seems like everything is copy and pasted, which isn't the end of the world, but it seems like 10 years behind.
