Thanks OP... Bought a $40 router and the set of bits you posted. Had $22 in points. For just getting into woodworking (and wanting to try routing cheaply) this was a great deal!

I'm in, bought a router a couple months back and have been meaning to pick up bits. Should be fun to experiment...thanks for posting. 12 off 60 was nice too.

This item was 69.99 or 79.99 for few months now. I was looking for a 1/2" shank, so went with some eBay bits.

Damn these sears deals. Normally not big on Craftsman stuff but this bit set has a lot of good-to-have bits that I want - straight bits (for dados/rabbets), flush cut bits, a couple dovetailing bits, and a couple small chamfer/roundover bits as well.. Not really a big fan of the huge contour bits.

This in addition to the 14" bandsaw earlier. Sears just got me for like $430.

Looks to be a pretty good set if you own a trim router. These would be not too great for table mounted one as you most likely find that 1/2 shank bits cut better with much less deflection (not to mention much less likely to bend).

A total steal at this price ($2 per bit).

You aren't going to find a set like this with 1/2" shanks anywhere near this price unless they are complete crap. If the 1/4" shanks of these are a concern to you , then just back off the cut a little and do it in several passes.

I'd be in on this even though I don't down a router yet but sears won't let me apply my $8 in surprise points.

EDIT: I got it to work. I had 11 cents of my own points so I was trying to redeem $8.11 during checkout. I had to remove those 11 cents in order to redeem the $8 in surprise points.

I've had this set for many years and you will find you only use maybe 10 of these bits at most. 5 really.

Can I cut a dado cut with one of this bit using table mouted router? What's the best technique in that case without chipping the wood
