Normally $469.99. I've been keeping an eye on this for a while, and it occasionally goes on sale for $417.99. This is the first time I've seen it this low. Fairly well rated, and a pretty good price for a heavier duty bandsaw.

Even a good deal when compared to the Wen 14" Bandsaw, which is currently at the lowest it's ever been according to the camels, at $454.32 on Amazon [amazon.com] and Walmart [walmart.com].

I was going to go with something a little higher quality, like the Grizzly, but at $350 for the Craftsman (compared to $525 for the Grizzly), this is hard to pass up.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

After $15 in surprise points and $31 in gift card discounts, this came out to $304 out the door. Fantastic price for this saw; thanks for posting.

What is this saw used for? I've seen a very similar one at a butcher shop used to cut steaks. I'm assuming this one is for wood...

I've been keeping an eye out for any good bandsaw deals. And this definitely is one. If you're going to resaw, however, you'll need the fence which is 79.99 on Sears.com. Now I'm just debating whether to buy this one or wait... tough choice since this is a great bandsaw.

Nice find...thanks mrspeed. 8" resaw capacity? Typically only 6" on other 14" saws. I've used bandsaws for years and haven't found much use for a miter gauge ( which doesn't come with this saw). Like prowe82 said you'll need a fence to resaw but you could rig something with scrap wood and clamps.

160 lbs is pretty light for a bandsaw. My Grizzly 14" is 247 lbs, and so are the classic Deltas.

Keep in mind you can find 14" bandsaws all day long on Craigslist. Hard to go wrong with a Made in the US Delta... it's what Grizzly copied for their saws.

"All day long" ...I have a great deal of trouble finding these 14" US-made delta/rockwell bandsaws. If they're priced below $200 they're gone in less than a day.

Cutting curves in thick pieces of wood and resawing (slicing thick boards into thinner ones) are among the main things you can do with this tool. Very versatile, a must have for any serious woodworker.

as a side note, the Grizzly 580 can be had on closeout for 450+ shipping. I realize that is a good bit more but you are getting a more solid machine IMHO. Not downrating this deal, just my two cents

Depends on where you live. Around here good 14" bandsaws go in a couple of days at around 350 and will evaporate immediately at $200

Do you have a link for the G0555 for $450 + shipping?
The G0580 does look comparable except for the smaller motor and max 6" resaw capacity.

Was just about to post this! I ordered it last night. I bought the 10 inch WEN saw during the amazon/walmart price wars, but can't seem to get it adjusted properly. I'd been eyeballing this one anyway. It's a shame it doesn't come with a miter gauge or rip fence. Discovered that after ordering.

I have an older version of this I got at a garage sale for $50 (best deal I've ever got, had fence, 5 spare blades that were new and the saw was barely used).

As some said it isn't the heaviest thing but I've never had issues using it to cut up to 4x4s.

Love the saw. It is a workhorse.

Is there a trick to get Lawaway to work on sale items at Sears.com? When I search from layaway section it shows me this saw as a result but I can't figure out how to get it to apply.

**Edit... figured it out. It was from early in the cart process. I must have missed it the first time.
