This is a PENCIL. Hassle free packaging on this means it's a customer return or a refurb. We both know that. Apple doesn't repackage things to make them easier to open

i imagine, if it was that, it would state so.

one thing you guys didnt consider is that many of these could be intentional promos, or bundled stuff for the world. if you think they get their inventory directly from apple, who will let them sell it as a discount.... hell no

apple doesnt do salesSmilie

i am only guessing at the provenance of the source... but saying those 2 are the only reasons is not correct either

You're confusing me... do you think Tech Rabbit gets Apple items that Apple decided that even though they are new they will not ship them in retail packages? You seriously believe these are brand new but just in non-retail packaging?

These companies are all the same. Every "one sale a day" website that sells "open box or white box" items, ESPECIALLY a attention-to- brand company like Apple, it's all crap. It's REFURBISHED or customer return

no. i am saying that: tech rabbit also has refurb ones (generically on same page if available). afaik they wouldnt advertise refurb or return as new.

i have no personal insight other than what i read on website. simply offering other alternatives what it can be, rather than them being shady

i am saying these are probably not packed for retail sale/source directly from apple, but likely something else. like promo items or bundled items, etc...

Just leaving this out here. I recently purchased a brand new, sealed one off eBay and the item wouldn't show warranty information. I couldn't upload the proof of purchase either, which it asked for. So I contacted an apple rep and emailed everything with the invoice and date of purchase, but Apple denied by saying that since eBay is not an authorized reseller, they can't do it unless they receive the original proof of purchase or inovice, which should show where the product was purchased. The seller was of no help and now I have a pencil with no warranty. This could happen here as well!

did the original listing say it had warranty or it was new? If it did you should be able to file a paypal protection claim.
