would kill a deer, but probably not the best for deer hunting. It's a great entry bow to get you used to a crossbows. HOWEVER, most crossbows are going to be a compound setup instead of this recurve style.

thanks, I'm on the fence. 90 bucks isn't a ton of money, wish I could find some reviews.
