This is just the first one, right? Not the soundlink mini II? I didn't know they still produced these. I have the first version and they sound great (especially when up against a wall or corner). However, the first version has an auto-off feature that cannot be disabled (turns speaker off after no input for 30 min. Even when plugged in). This makes it frustrating to use with something like an echo dot.

Yes, seems like the 1st generation, which I have and is still awesome, but I would like the ability to charge via microUSB and also use it as a speakerphone which the Gen 2 has. Might still get one; such a great sounding speaker.

Correct, this is the first version. I actually like the auto off feature, even when plugged in. Sometimes when I'm nearby, my phone's audio gets hijacked by the speaker and I would miss calls. I like the II because it can pair with multiple devices. For this price, it's an awesome deal.

Echo Dot is why I was considering this. So, this "auto-off" function cannot be by-passed? Then when using it with Echo Dot ... it would be necessary to manually turn the speaker on each time???Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Wondering here as well (+2) - can anyone confirm/deny if echo dot would turn this speaker on without manually needing to power on the aux speaker feature?

Should be midnight PST (Costco is based out of Kirkland, WA). So a little more than an hour.

I wouldn't pay more than $40 for this overrated bathroom speaker and so should you.
