What's a good router for this modem for Comcast Blast. I'm currently using a netgear router and modem and it heats up like a monster.....

Got a refurbished 2 years ago for $42 on eBay and it's still running great. This is a decent price for new.

This one is a good one or the SB6141. The SB6183 cheapest refurb was around $35 through Staples.

I have Mediacom 100 Mb, after a couple months, this modem started to drop to 2Mb/s and lose connection at 8 pm every night. Contacted Mediacom who no longer support this modem. They sent me a new modem free of charge. Now speed averages 60 Mb/s.

True, it doesn't work with Gigabit speeds so it's not the most future-proof modem.

But for the majority of normal high speed cable users it's definitely more than enough.

if I only have 60mb/s internet speed from my provider, would I notice a big difference with this modem?
