If you haven't already, please hold off on buying from BB or B&H. I found by far the best deal yet. It does involve a credit card with price protection though.

Dell Home has the 2045 for $850 and SD is currently offering a $150 rebate on Dell Home purchases over $800. Submit a price protection claim to one of the $550 stores for the $300 difference in price. Next, file the $150 rebate. Once you get the SD rebate and the price protection check back, boom!, you just got this protector for $400 (before tax of course).

Sorry I didn't provide links, but let me know if you have questions.

EDIT - AS another SDer just pointed out, B&H and Adorama have the 2040 for $500. It's $799.99 at Dell and will still qualify for the $150 rebate. Don't care for the wireless capabilities on the 2045, so IMHO this is the better deal. After the price protection claim and SD rebate this model will only be $350.

Oh, and you'll also receive about $25 in Dell rewards. laugh out loud laugh out loud

Excellent deal, but save the Amex offer for something else and buy from B&H [bhphotovideo.com] to save on sales tax. Unless you live in NY like me...

Oh, and for anyone out there considering this, don't wait too long. Looks like this sale price is only going to be valid for today.

If you have a Visa business card, like Chase Ink, and register it with Visa Savings Edge [visasavingsedge.com], you'll save 5% with it at B&H. That's in addition to the base 1%.

I bought a refurb 2045 for $519 a couple weeks ago. This is a great projector at a great price, wish I would have waited a couple weeks!

Cool and thanks for sharing the deal. I live in CA so B&H saves me ~$50.

Nice...

Adorama also has it for $550, but no Visa Savings Edge 5% and no Amex offers for them.

Got this when BB had the $600 + $200 GC screw up. Works good in the bedroom with Vizio sound bar and Apple TV.

Went with the 2040 [bhphotovideo.com] instead. Seems like I can get the wireless functionality with a chromecast instead, and there's a rebate in it for a Lamp. Great find! Thanks guys!

Thanks man. But with us CA residents, tax would be around $80 which brings it to $480. I for one am not sure the $70 savings justifies it. Also, I don't know what the price protection claim is. Appreciate it, but at $500-550 these things are amazing!
