I wanted a good starter watch as a gift, this watch fits the bill. I know, one can argue that the dial is not particularly classy and elegant but come on... it is not a Grand Seiko. I believe this is lowest prices in past month or two. The dial specs on Amazon is wrong. It is a 38.5mm dial NOT 34mm.

Don't you mean "it is NOT a Grand Seiko"?

if there was a grand seiko on sale for $57, I would be first in line throwing my wallet at them

I actually like the way it looks, kinda quirky. If it were a solar I'd buy it.

Bless FAQs;
Question:
Is there a purpose for the multicolors on the dial between 12 and 4??
Answer:
No its just decoration and possibly to make it a little clearer which side is right side up. I like it and the watch is stellar.

34mm case? That's tiny. On Jomashop specs show 38mm case, still very small for a men's watch.

Also, $60 on jomashop, probably no Seiko warranty, but for reference, doesn't seem like a crazy good deal. Decent I guess.

Well it's actually a 38.5mm dial, decent for average wrist size.

"Out of stock" at jomashop, hence the $60 price. I believe if they do get it in stock they probably won't sell it for $60.

The listing on Amazon is wrong, it's actually 38.5mm not 34mm. I happen to like the Blue/Yellow combo.

I think it looks small on my small wrists (6.5). Some people think it's fine but I didn't and almost never wear the watch as a result. Despite that the band broke in the first 2-3 months I had it. I had the blue version with canvas band (really liked that blue color).
