It's a new product and they give out products to review. We are happy with these.

Any way to trim them so they don't go deep inside the ear?

I would say no but have never run into that problem. It comes with a few different end sizes.

it's not the size. i just don't like anything deep in my ears and need to be able to hear background noise. i have 2 pairs of similar cheap bt headphones rosewill and urlhasbeenblocked branded that i really like but need something a little better quality. prefer apple pods style that doesn't go deep in but stay in the ear when i'm active.

These really cut out background noise so I would suggest you look for something else. Possibly one that hangs over your ear so you can remove it completely if needed.

The apple pods don't stay well in my ears while running. However, they do with my wife. I got her a pair called Philips freshtones. She likes them. They stay in her ear but she does a casual jog not full on running.

i got the original wired apple pods years ago. they are unusable, only for 2nd backup. recently bought bt phones with similar buds but they have stiff wire and over the ear so no problems with pod style earpiece.
