FYI this is a great CPU cooler but the controller software is GARBAGE. not only is the software poorly made and bloated, but on the MSI board I was initially using, the driver would crash Windows.

Fortunately you don't need the controller software at all. Just dont plug in the USB to anything, and just use your motherboard's built in fan power header voltage controllers. you want the pump control to run at 100% all the time and the fans you can run at whatever speed you want based on temps/demand

better than a Hyper 212 Evo cooling a 6700K? Idle temps (room temp around 68-69F) in the ~20C. Load 50-60*C in a H440..
This should significantly outperform a 212 Evo.

How does this compare for cooling temps compared to similar priced air cooling unit like be quiet dark pro 3?

this is better than all but the biggest most expensive air coolers (and those you have to worry about snapping off and ruining everything).

As far as the sound - the pump is not silent, but it isn't distracting either (to me at least).

The other big advantage is all the open air you get by not having a air cooler filling your case. Airflow is better in addition to the better cooling from water anyway.

plus this price is really nice.

Cancelled my order. Read too many reviews of failed pumps.
