New to posting, but didn't see this up yet so figured I'd give it a go. Looks to be a pretty sweet deal on a 500GB SSD from Amazon. The lowest price shown by camelcamelcamel for a new one is $159.99.

With tax it came out to be ~ $145

anyone has real data from CrystalDiskMark for this ssd drive?

for my ssd 840, i get sequential read of 442.5 MB/s and 227.3 MB/s

I wouldn't pay over $100 per 500GB. You can expect the 1TB model to be $200 or less during the holidays.

rough times for SSD prices. Really should be about $0.20/gb ($100/500gb, $200/1tb) but haven't seen it all year.

I'd actually be surprised if holiday prices get that low, it's been real bad for so long.
