From the reviews, it is shuck-able but supposedly destroys the enclosure. The HDD warranty is tracked as a component of the external device so your warranty for the whole thing would be voided when you shuck it. The drive appears to be: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6822178748

mine had an 8Tb Barracuda inside :-) pretty easy to disassemble, but not a no brainer:

Before (ext): 153m read, ~40meg/sec write :-(
