Great rice cooker, got it last time on a Macy's deal for 107.50. Always get perfectly cooked rice, and you can keep the rice warm for up to 48 without it getting dry. Anything past a couple days and it starts to smell funky

Let me ask you this. Are you Asian? If yes buy this. If no? Ok, stick to bread because you obviously don't understand rice. Uncle Ben's is not the answer.

I already have the VGC-05, the ugly white/gray one...moved to a new house with stainless/black appliances. Had to order this one!

Costco's should be the 5.5 cup. This is a 3 cup.

So that one would be a better deal?

It's up to you.
Personally, I will only buy the 3-cup Zojirushis. I like to make fresh rice for most of my meals and the 3-cup Zojis will allow you to make a minimum of 1/2 cup of uncooked rice at a time. On the larger versions, the minimum will most likely be much higher.

I used to have a 10-cup rice cooker and the minimum was 2 cups. What a waste.

I've done a lot of research on rice cookers and this brand seems to be widely recognized as the best brand on the market. Can't speak about the price though.

Zojirushis makes excellent rice cookers! Once you tried one, it's hard (or impossible, for me) going back to cheap supermarket models. Great price on these as well!
