Seems like an all-time low (CCC and SD searches show previous low being $149).

Has no standalone controls on the device, only works with the app.

This is not very convenient if you cook a lot and want to make small adjustments without having to whip out your phone and fiddle with an app. I would much rather just make a small adjustment to the temp manually, and be able to get visual confirmation of what temp it's set at at all times.

This is a fast heat-up, wifi and bluetooth enabled Sous vide.

Better than the Wifi version of anova and worth it @ this price.

I've never cooked with or owned something that did sous vide. I just ordered the Chefman Sous Vide Precision Cooker for $69. Does this white one do anything more than just add wifi and Bluetooth? If that's it, I'm not sure it's worth twice the price.

Anyone able to chime in?

I have one without the wifi added and its just fine. its a matter of set it for 135 degrees, let it sit in the water bath for x amount of time and it'll beep when x amount of time is up. I don't see any need for the wifi at all.

Nope. This is a deal breaker for many. It does have issues with disconnecting for me at times. I still prefer the joule due to the small size and the magnetic base makes it easy to use in a large try-ply stock pot.

Just ordered mind. Been comparing this and Anoca for some time and this is the first time I've seen Joule at this price. My decision was based on the fact that it has a higher wattage and more precise temperature readout than the Anova.

As far as I know... no. It continues to cook.
