The refurb Onyx 2 was a real good deal at $90. Should have jumped.

Harman Kardan just uses inflated "retail" prices so they can set fool people into believing they are getting a $400 speaker for $90, when in fact they are getting a $90 speaker for $90. They are ok, they have pleasing bass, but that is because of the driver size, and the accompaning loss of portability for a portable speaker. They sound fine, I am not a hater, I own 2, as well as other BT speakers that sound better.

Harman has one of the worst (retail) pricing policies of any vendor I've ever dealt with. $449 for one? But wait...there's more! Buy several instead for less. Makes perfect sense. They market good stuff but my goodness, quit messing with people's intelligence. Expensive game to play. Good deal though if it suits your needs. yummy

Any idea what these will really sell for (i.e. not MSRP)?

I wouldn't buy one without a 5 year warranty. These speakers are notorious for being unreliable.

Does 4 sounds better than two or three, otherwise there will be no need to upgrade as 2 and 3 are much more cheaper.

Disappointing upgrade, imo. Still no Bluetooth L/R Stereo mode (Sony has this). No Bluetooth 5. Not even backwards compatabile with version 3 for non stereo dual play.

Lots of bad reviews online about the V1-V3 breaking down within a year. Maybe you just don't use yours enough haha.
