Tanga [tanga.com] has Alfa Long Range AC 1200 Dual Band Wifi USB Dongle for $33.99. Shipping is free.

Compatibility

It will work with any computer that has an available USB port and Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 10. Kali Linux version 2017.1 now supports packet injection for this adapter. Read more at http://rok.land/AWUS036ACH_Kali
USB 3.0 port required for max speed, though is compatible with USB 2.0 ports also at a max speed of 480 mbps. This works on Microsoft Surface Pro tablets running Windows 8/10 (requires driver download) but does NOT work with Windows Surface RT tablets or other tablets/laptops running Microsoft Surface RT, which looks like Windows 8 but is actually a locked down version of Windows that does not support 3rd party drivers.

Additional Features:
  • Enterprise-class 64/128 WEP encryption, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, 802.1X support
  • 867 mbps High-Speed Transfer Rate for 802.11ac
  • USB 3.0 compliant (backward compatible with USB 2)
  • One year manufacturer's warranty

$39.99 on Amazon [amazon.com]

Interestingly the one that was posted does have the same chipset (RTL8812AU). Would be good to know if Netis and Alfa just rebranded a RTL8812AU dongle. I've read Alfa has better circuitry but shrug hard to know until someone takes it apart.

Seeing this for $6 more on Amazon. So lukewarm deal?

Wish this stuff was USB-C instead of that weird micro-USB 3 connector nobody uses.

Correction: this particular device is regular USB A, not the oddball micro-USB 3.

15% off if you do the math... It's still cheaper!

Yeaaa...looks like best price if you need it now. Rokland also $6 more (the article/vendor that tanga mentions about it working with injection).

I bought a few a while back for my parents bigass house before putting in a Google wifi setup. The signal is significantly stronger than your average wifi adapters, even ones with external antenna. Was able to get a signal in rooms that we never could before.

Finally a reason to upgrade from my US036NEH...
Anyone know if changing country code on this will let you do more than 500mW? And range on it with that done?
