I want a 65" 4k TV in the price-range but at this point I'm going to hold out for the 65" TCL P model later this year. That one should priced be well under 1k quickly.

I bought this on that Walmart clearance. THEY DONT ADVERTISE THIS but HDMI input 1 is the ONLY input that operates with HDR. Which by itself wouldn't be a bug deal but HDMI 1 doesn't support ARC. You would have to use HDMI 3 or utilize optical out back to the receiver.

I don't regret buying it but it is far from perfect. Overall I would buy again but those issues are not well advertised.

But the good news is that you don't have to be too worried about HDMI 1 vs. HDMI 2 vs. HDMI 3, because you would never notice the difference. The TV may be able to receive an HDR signal, but it doesn't have the chops to actually display one.

Per Rtings, "Although the KU6300 support HDR10 input, it does not really benefit from it, since it does not support a wide color gamut and it cannot really get highlight very bright." If you wanted HDR, you wouldn't buy this TV. So don't worry about the HDMI port. It doesn't matter.

Well I've tweaked it and used it unlike others that comment having not used it. It does have noticeably better color reproduction than my old 1080p and has the brightness to push HDR. It doesn't have the contrast (dark level) of many higher end tvs which I'm sure takes away some of the luster.

You will notice its better than your old set. If that's what your shooting for this isn't a bad deal. If you want phenomenal quality for under a grand your in the wrong thread.

I hate to even say it.... 499.99.

I had saved 1000 to buy a new TV but when the post hit around memorial day and barely any Walmart's had it and mine was one. I went to get it. I figure I'll use it for a couple years and enjoy it being better than what I had and then buy a more mature OLED set then.

I was a OLED snob but the price killed my judgement. That was my deal. They had 3 of them. I actually sold one while I was waiting for them to find it in the back. The employee was mad. I think he bought the last one.
