This is the lowest price ever for this set. It is one of the top traveler systems that will rarely goes on sale since it is not being sold by big retailers (e.g. babies'R'us and buy buy baby) and there is no competition on the small baby boutique stores.

You are basically getting a Pipa for $75!

You can get other colors (Indigo or Berry) WITHOUT Sale Tax from Magic Beans [mbeans.com] or Albeebaby [albeebaby.com] or brixy [brixy.com] as well. People mentioned that the fabric of Indigo or Berry is softer that what NordStorm has.

Pottery Barn Kids [potterybarnkids.com] online store has this traveler system on sale for $647.90 in Latte and Aspen colors.

Here is detailed comparison of the stroller only with UppaBaby Vista:

Nuna Pipa is one the cheapest Car seats in the US market that has a load leg. This video shows how a load leg protect the baby in the crash:

Props to the OP. A deal on a high quality, rarely discounted product always brings out the ad hominem attacks.

For those of you who cannot fathom why someone would shop this stroller (and the similar ones from Uppababy and others), realize that these are made for well-off urban parents. We have both the Mixx and Pipa and you get what you pay for. Fretting over the $400 differential between a Graco seat + stroller and a Nuna seat + stroller is not worth my time when our annual daycare expenditure is literally 30 times what we spent on the Mixx + Pipa. Nordstrom usually has Nuna products in their Anniversary Sale and we got ours last year.

I don't think the Pipa is quite 6 pounds (more like 9) but it is still relatively light. It is pretty easy and secure to install via seat belt using the base, which we do in the center position. Our car (and probably many others) do not accept LATCH in the center seat. The dream drape is pretty nice, although you could accomplish the same thing with a muslin swaddle blanket. For about 4 months, we just used the bottom of the Mixx as a frame stroller for the Pipa - worked great.

We cross-shopped the Mixx and Cruz / Vista and chose the Mixx for these reasons:

1. We liked the Pipa better than Uppababy's infant seat, and would need adapters (more $$) for the Pipa on the other strollers.

2. In order of maneuverability, the Cruz and Mixx were about the same vs the Vista, which we thought was heavy and hard to maneuver in tight spaces. The Nuna Tavo actually maneuvered the best of all of them.

3. We live in an urban environment and commercial doorways, store aisles, subway doors, sidewalks, etc are narrow. The Mixx can fit everywhere easily and has a tight turning radius. We also have a Thule Urban Glide and while that certainly rolls more smoothly on its 16" air-filled wheels, winding in and out of a small store is not easy.

4. We live in a cold East coast city and wanted wheels that could handle both climate and broken sidewalks and potholes. The Mixx handled ~8 inches of snow (both packed and fresh) earlier this year. The Cruz wheels were a bit smaller, the Vista's were bigger. This is important when you are late for work, your car is buried under a foot of snow and hard ice, and you are not confident enough in your agility to strap your baby to your chest and venture out on foot to the train. With the stroller I might bust on ice but at least he's staying put.

5. The reversible seat (forwards vs backwards) is really useful in a crowded restaurant when the baby is smaller and can't stay secure in a high-chair. We can reverse the seat so the handle points away from the table and scoot him in close while he remains strapped in the five-point harness.

Happy to answer other questions about the Mixx or Pipa.

I was thinking the same thing.. Like what makes this combo so expensive? Is it the Brand or something?? Or is this thing more fuel efficient and can park itself?

This is one of the best and safest traveler systems in EU. However, it is kind of new in US. Uppababy and babyjogger also charge in the same range for their top producs so it is not something special of fashion.

IMO it is better. The only negative part is that it does not expand to double stroller.

Here is detailed comparison:
http://mbeans.com/spillingthebean...gs-prices/

The Pipa is way more safer than uppababy car seat. It has load leg.

Those strollers fall in same showoff category I guess. You can get a functional gracco for $150 stroller + carseat and it features more then this stroller...

I used to think the same way until I used one. For my first baby we bought a Graco. For my second I bought a baby jogger City select. The weight difference was substantial and how tight they felt after abuse is also noticeable. The biggest saving grace is resale value hold up quite well.

I have this stroller + carseat + bassinet system and it's amazing. The car set is only about 6 lbs which makes a big difference. The other great thing about it is that it has a rigid LATCH installation system, which pretty much means you can't screw up the installation. 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly, and this pretty much prevents you from being one of them. The car seat also has a rod that goes to the floor of the car for additional balance and weight distribution in case anything happens. The stroller is also very light and when folded up, rests on the wheels rather than the handle (uppababy).

I'd pick this up in a heartbeat if I hadn't bought the whole set a few months ago.
