YMMV, target in store clearance

MSRP: $299, clearance price: $149.98 (50% off), and $20 target gift card because of baby sale promotion [target.com]: Spend $100 get a $20 giftcard, spend $250 get a $50 giftcard on select baby care & Infant basics and furniture Items

Not sure whether you can get $50, if you order online and pick up in store since target will adjust the price to discounted in-store price when you pickup.

Check availability in brickseek using DPC: 030-09-4516

not sure why it always shows link broken: brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker/?sku=030-09-4516

Which color did you find? Was it just the Amethyst?

I think it depends on the associate. Typically they would but given that it's clearance and a high dollar drop, they'll prob give you crap for it and deny your request. Ymmv

Check the cadence color too. Found some for $150 but they are like an hour away from me.

So am I missing something or does 300 seem way over priced for a car seat?

Nope, that's fairly common for a top tier unit.

This car seat has a BRILLIANT installation system, BTW. Unlike waging a two-person, half-hour-war, including pool noodles or ramps, to get the thing properly situated and latched (I'm looking at you, Diono). The NextFit is easy- actually easy- fast enough you can pop it into an idling UBER without any guilt. I've had 3 other car seats in this price range and this is a hands-down winner. Would buy again with out hesitation. It's also a consumer reports top pick.

I use to really like this car seat. I have 2 of them. I have to say that after 2 1/2 years on one and 1 1/2 years on the other, they are falling apart. The top fabric is very nice but they use this really cheap fabric on the backside. Inside the seats cushions there are plastic forms that help them keep their shape. The forms have busted through the backside fabric on both of my seats. There is also Velcro that is tearing off at the stitches. These seats supposedly have a super long usable life but I don't see how. The plastic is cheap but its too much to describe right now. I would recommend because the seat is very easy to install and compact but plan on the lifespan only lasting 1 child. DO NOT buy one used.

Thanks for the info. I hate my Graco seat. It really isn't bad getting in and out the latch system is a pain.... OOS in my area unfortunately. I'll have to keep an eye out

On mine, the plastic forms are like wings that are outside of the fabric and tuck under the edges of the seat. The seating surface itself is only fabric and cushioning. They might have fixed the issue you described.
