Browser based means it initiates a VPN connection only on the browser, not on your entire windows network. Sometimes, that's what you want.

This is a fantastic deal if it works well for you, however, I have frequent disconnects with the free version of Windscribe.

Its says VPN + browser based privacy suite, so we're getting an actual VPN then, right?

Thanks, same as other FP deal, just cheaper! Great VPN if you are using a VPN for the first time, it's easy to use and even has a Chrome Extension.

It will. I got it working on my raspberry pi. Don't plan on using it with Netflix though, doesn't work.

Is there any speed degradation with using the VPN? How is this service with large downloads?

not sure if this is because of the slickdeals effect and new customers joining, but my existing vpn connection to windscribe has been dropping every few minutes. Also the windscribe has been messing up by wireless adapter and only a reset fixes it on the adapter.
