I was looking for an inexpensive portable Jump Starter for my car and found this one for a really great price. Comparable 800A jump starters sell for 2x to 3x the price! Best of all, it works for charging other things.

The amperage rating is false.. it would take 40 high amperage 18650 batteries to produce 400 amps continuous at 14.7v, just stating the obvious.
I don't know much about amperage and voltage. I thought this could be a good deal. But you're saying this is not real information? So a fake product, maybe..?

They say peak, but I don't see it even hitting anywhere near that peak.

These weren't ever meant to replace real jump starting boxes, but they will charge your battery decently fast which should give you enough to jump start after a period of time (10min or so), if your battery is shot or completely drained it may not work.

They're all listed this way to sell more of them.
In series batteries double their voltage and stay the same amperage, in parallel they stay the same voltage but double their amperage.

With the majority of newer cars you'll never need these since the headlights and interior light all shut off on their own..

Usually a battery will die only after sitting long periods of time, like in your driveway where you would be better off with a plug in style charger, that can get you to a person who can repair your vehicle if you don't know how.. which it usually ends up being a battery, alternator, terminals or cables that went bad..

AutoZone and O'Reilly's can diagnose your battery and alternator for free.

I've lived in areas where it hits 40 below and I've never personally had an issue with my battery where I was away from home or away from an extension cord and a charger when I worked on the road.

Probably an excess of information but I was bored lol.

Actually, they don't require the slow-charge thing. I have a practically identical model and was surprised that something this small jumps it practically instantly. I even got a few starts out of a single charge (I was having intermittent alternator issues at one point). Battery was low enough that the car wouldn't turn over at all, but started up fine with the jump box. Sure, there are a lot of variables so it may not work for all cars all the time, but I've used those little boxes several times and on two different cars with surprisingly good results.

Before you buy this because of the price, read the reviews with 1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars. There are many people said that this jump starter can not jump start a almost drain out battery. I use NoCo gb40, it works great for my V8 4.3 engine. Just looking for a cheap one for my small 2.0 engine car.

Cars do not need 14.7v (really 14.4 in most cars) to start, somewhere in the high 11's to low 12's is what is required. Feel free to throw a multi meter on your starter cable/lug and watch it as the key hits. You will never see 14.x volts from a non-running car unless it is on a 16v system. A properly functioning charge system will run at 14.4ish under most circumstances, but throw headlights, AC and say an aftermarket stereo and it may be mid 13's while running.
