A local (Phx) Home Depot had several of these saws marked down to $440. Regular price is $599. I know local clearance prices can be very YMMV for Home Depot, but better to put it out there and hopefully save someone some cash.

I've had my eye on this saw for a bit as a replacement for my older Craftsman. This saw has quite a few favorable reviews and has been featured in a few wood working publications as a solid pick for a hobbyist without breaking the bank or going cheap.

I bought one in the Farmingdale, NY Home Depot store on July 4th for that same $440+tax price. There was only one on the floor at the time, sitting up front across from the tool corral. I had also been watching the $599 price for a few months hoping for a break online, but stumbled upon that single saw in store on clearance. A heads up: the box weighs about 250lbs.

I LOVE mine. I've had it for about 3 years. I built a router station into the table along with a router fence that slips over the table saw fence. It's one of my two most favorite tools! Great saw!

I've been waiting for this to go on sale as well. But my closest HD is an hour away. Next time I'm down there I'll be checking. I've always seen the regular price as $529. That's what it is online.

Do you have pics or a build page for that. I've been watching for a sale on this for a while and really want to do exactly that or build it into a mobile workbench.
Definitely going to stop at HD and see if they have any on sale! Our local store's tool area is awful and I don't think they even carry the saw but i'll check! Thanks OP

As someone just getting into the hobby, is this recommended for fine furniture making? I've been eyeing Delta unisaws on Craigslist between $800 - $1200 used.

Awesome, I like how it sits over the fence instead of attaches to it. I've seen a few ideas I also plan to cobble into something I like when I finally find a deal on one. My local store didn't have any though.

Picked one up in Tucson for the OP's price of $440. Had to call the pro desk to pay for it because I'm at work. When I go in to get it I'll try to use the harbor freight 20% off. We'll see how it goes. Anyone in Tucson interested in buying the portable R4513 after I get this one??
