Bought 1 during prime day, this deal is slicker than that! Don't expect too much from webos, barely any apps. The processor is laggy and the speaker is weak on this too, but awesome picture.

Dont even think about buying it. I bought it and had to return it. 1000 lumens is no where close to the brightness you would expect from a projector whose msrp is 1300$. Highly disappointed and not even worth 900 bucks.

The number of lumens will not be the same as a long throw projector as it is closer to your wall and not traveling across a room. The MSRP of this product is higher than a comparable long throw projector because of the lack of comparable competitive tech. If you're willing to wait for this to hit the US, it might be closer to what you are looking for. http://www.gearbest.com/projector...60919.html

That Xaomi Laser has everything I would want in a short throw projector, but $2000 is kind of stiff without any credible reviews or testings. Thanks for the posting,, signed up for arrival notice.

For those comparing lumens. This is LED which will last 10x than bulbs. 3000hrs vs 30,000hrs. You will never have to replace em.

Should be similar quality as both are full 1080p. Difference is projection difference and smart TV functionality

I considered one of these, but after reading that getting the picture focused properly in all corners is a nearly impossible nightmare, I decided to pass.

This seems to be an issue with LG projectors. I recently bought the LG PH450U. The only adjustment available is the manual focus wheel. While the bottom corners are fine, the top corners either curve or the entire top part of the picture has a bow or the picture is not in focus. I cannot achieve all 3. Planning to return it.
I don't want to mount the projector so an ultra short throw projector suits my needs very well. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good one (ideally under $500 and at least 720p)?

Been waiting for the price drop from frys for a while now. Unfortunately no stores around me have it in stock and no shipping is available.

yeah. the one you are looking for is the one you have. are you projecting on a screen or wall? if its not a perfectly flat straight wall and projector is not perfectly level perpendicular to wall you will run into those issues of curved corners/edges.

Yes. If the projector itself and the "screen" r not perfectly level/plumb/square to one another, u will have issues
