Should say "New subs only" as Port-In is required.

"You must be a new customer or an existing Verizon customer adding a line to your account."

since this is a new line I don't think people will have this issue

but just a warning to anyone, brother got a new phone to replace his damaged phone...

the line got charged and the overall bill also got charged so instead of being charged 30 dollars for activation it auto charged twice for 60 plus taxes and fees....

so verizon's billing is still -_-...... now im going through all the past bills since upgrading to unlimited because after going over it again stuff doesn't make sense....

If I'm reading this right, they're just paying off your old device right? It doesn't look like they're giving you extra $ to switch. Am I wrong?

What are the eligibility requirements?
Quote :
Switch your number from any postpaid wireless carrier to Verizon, trade in your current phone, and activate a new 4G LTE smartphone purchased on device payment plan. Trade-in phone must be in good working and cosmetic condition and the phone last used with your prior carrier. If you are seeking reimbursement for any final balance on a device payment plan with your prior carrier, the trade-in phone must be the phone on which the balance is owed. Promotional Reimbursement consists of Verizon Wireless Visa® Prepaid Card in amount of carriers Early Termination Fee (up to $350) or final device payment plan balance (up to $650), including lease purchase option if applicable, minus device trade-in credit provided by Verizon.
I was really hoping this was a good promo to switch my daughters Ting account to my VZW account....

Correct. Sorry, the first question should also be in the quoted area (from vzw site). My comment was just showing my disappointment.

This isn't $650 for signing up. They will pay up to $650 in ETFs and device lease/device payment plan left on your old contract/with your old carrier. You aren't making money, you're just not paying anything to get out of a different carrier's contract.
