I ordered this Thursday, received it on Friday, and installed it Saturday.
It replaced and old Genie Chain drive unit. I love how quiet this thing is. Also the alerts are really nice feature.

A couple things:
It's for a 7' door. You'll need an extension kit if you have either an 8' or 10' door. The kit comes with an extended end rail and a longer belt.

If you have Homelink in your vehicle you will need a Chamberlain Compatibility bridge.

This will in fact work with the Chamberlain network gateway. I already had a chamberlain smart opener in my 3rd bay. Adding the Craftsman unit when I was done took about a minute. It just took opening the Chamberlain app, clicking add, then pressing a button on the Craftsman wall switch..

Installation is a breeze, takes a few hours, pretty basic tools and is easier with two people. A ladder, Drill, some SAE sockets, and hacksaw/tin snips to cut the brackets.
Just be thorough when reading the directions and you'll be fine.

It's not garbage. Liftmaster/Chamberlaind/Craftsman are all made by the same company and highly rated openers. The 8500s are about twice as expensive. This one comes with battery backup and the internet gateway and is good deal even without the groupon discount.

Installed this one myself, opening the door from the app on your phone works very well too. It's a good opener don't listen to the naysayers. If you aren't handy I'd recommend hiring out the install.

Do they offer installation? I didn't see that option.

It's been that price for some time, but it is significantly cheaper than anything else that comes smart phone ready.

Chances are most people have surprise points to use too if they have a Sears account.

Does this work with Alexa or needs SmartHub?

These garage door openers are garbage. Spend the extra money and get the Liftmaster 8500. You won't regret it.
I hadn't heard of this model before. It's quite interesting in that it doesn't mount overhead like traditional openers. It mounts on the wall NEXT to the garage door and frees up all the space overhead where the traditional openers sit. I've been looking to add more storage overhead in my garage and this opener may well do the trick. Thanks!

This was FP last month on 6/19 for $199. I submitted a price protection with Sears, I hope they honor it.

I got this on the last deal and just installed it yesterday. It's pretty good. I would get this if you want a smart phone enabled opener. I don't believe it's Alexa compatible.

Why do you say it's garbage?
I'm looking to get a new door and opener installed and the contractor wants a 1/2 HP liftmaster opener to install

Also, there was a pretty good discount on a Groupon last night for sears

I've had this garage door opener for about 2 months now and it has been great so far.
