Bought a chef's pan accidentally last time when I wanted a skillet. Great pan, but needed a skillet more. Grabbed one this time with the 3 qt. sauté pan, both copper core. Both more than 50% off and I've never had one with a noticeable mark arrive.

I have a Mauviel that's pretty nice, but the all-clad are a really good American made option that might be more of a workhorse that requires less finicky cleaning. I really enjoy mine and these are the best prices available on them at any given time.

Thumbs up.

They offer lifetime warranty but I tried claiming once and was denied. So I no longer buy this brand.

Their lifetime warranty covers a manufacturing defect. If it's a use and care issue like burning the heck out of it on high heat that's on you.

Do you need a passcode? Or will the site open up when the sale is live? Thanks!

Basically it's no warranty. My pan was not burned. Just the coating eventually came off.

In the title, what does "second quality" mean?

Ok, I'm total newb, but why would I buy "parts" when I can buy a full 13 pieces set Tri-ply clad Stainless Steel from Costco for ~175 (similar to this set [amazon.com]) Are these much better?

Totally agree. Calphalon rejected one of mine. The "warranty" on cookware is a farce.
