Now Belkin owns Linksys..

They were purchased by Cisco in 2003, and sold to Belkin, the current owners, in 2013. Its products were branded as Linksys by Cisco when it was part of Cisco. Belkin has kept the Linksys brand and released new products under its name since acquiring it.

Fair warning that after Cisco bought Linksys (edit: and then sold to Belkin) their quality went down. They are not like they used to be. Back in the day Linksys was one of the top manufacturers.

When shopping for my current router, I was surprised how well reviewed Linksys routers are. I am more than happy with my Linksys WRT 1900 ACS router.

I picked up a EA8500 from a previous post, it's the first wifi device to push 200+ mbps to my iPhone 7+. (It's pushing 297mbps currently which is the same speed as hard wired.). I went from linking linksys was crap to wondering why I listened to others.

FWIW Cisco sold Linksys off to Belkin in 2013. Not sure if that helps though.

My spider sense is tiling me to stay away from Linksys refurbished. I seem to recall much displeasure.
With ya. I haven't had good luck with ref ub Linksys products. Customer service is pathetic too.
